David S. Fleming Elected to Board of Directors of International Trademark Association

CHICAGO - David S. Fleming, an attorney and shareholder at Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione, one of the largest intellectual property law firms in the U.S., has been elected to a three-year term on the board of the International Trademark Association (INTA). His term began on January 1, 2010.

Fleming chairs the Trademarks and Unfair Competition Group at Brinks and represents a wide range of companies in trademark and unfair competition matters. His clients have included companies engaged in Internet technology, motion picture services, consumer products, services franchising, financial services, telecommunications equipment and automotive manufacturing.

Fleming has been an active member of INTA since 1991, and he continues to serve on INTA’s Programs Committee. Previously, he served as co-chair of the team that organized INTA’s annual meeting in 2007 and co-chair of INTA's Trademark Administrators Program in 2004. He was also a member of the editorial board of The Trademark Reporter®, published by INTA, served as a judge in INTA’s regional moot court competition in 2008 and 2009, and served on the faculty of INTA’s Trademark Trial Advocacy program in 2000.
